Child Genius Aiden

Aiden Wilkins is from Collegeville, Pennsylvania. He is only nine years old. Most kids of his age are busy playing games. But Aiden's life is different. Several times a week, he goes to a college class to study neuroscience with students who are much older than him.

Aiden could read signs when he was just two years old——much earlier than other children. His mother, Veronica, quickly realized he was special. He read signs, corrected people’s sentences, and even wrote algebraic equations.

A test showed that Aiden was very smart. By age three, he loved watching videos about anatomy, especially the human brain. That early interest has now become a big dream: Aiden wants to be a pediatric neurosurgeon.

"I like helping kids around my age, and I’ve always been curious about how the brain works," Aiden said. "It's sad to see kids with neurological disorders, and I want to help them out."

Now, Aiden is both a high school student and a college student. He takes high school classes online. He also studies at Ursinus College, where he is the cleverest student ever. He goes to the college three times a week and learns with older students. The rest of the week, he studies online like other high schoolers.

Although Aiden does very well in school, he is still a regular kid. When he's not studying, he loves playing soccer and video games, just like his friends.

Aiden has already been thinking about studying medicine at top universities like Johns Hopkins and Princeton. One thing is certain: his amazing journey is only just beginning.
